This page is still under construction, but here's a brief about the goals for the business and my personal collection!

Mirai Card Shop's Goals

First and foremost, this business is built upon importing authentic, Japanese booster boxes to customers in the United States. We want to eliminate the hassle of international shipping + tariffs, which results in a simple ordering and delivery process for domestic US customers.

The second goal of this business is to provide reasonable prices to the best of my ability. Note that there are uncontrollable factors that will raise prices such as the ever-changing tariffs under our current US government. Aspects under my power include:

  • Buying shipping supplies in bulk to save on costs
  • Timely imports
  • Better relationships with my suppliers and mail carriers

and although some of these things cannot be achieved day one, I hope to make customers happy by constantly working towards these points of my business in the background.

And last but not least, the third major goal is to build relationships with other collectors too! Meeting nice people at card shows, or being a constant supply of booster boxes towards someone else's collecting goals is more than I could ever ask for.

Vintage

Since Pokemon as a franchise is older than me (crazy thought), I grew up playing and collecting mid-era cards during the Diamond & Pearl/Platinum blocks.

As a kid, vintage cards were also aplenty from my older family members. However, our family donated a lot of our cards once I stopped playing the TCG, leaving just a few holos and a handful of commons left in my collection.

Modern

I bought my first modern Pokemon pack with Silver Tempest in late 2022. However, aside from Silver Tempest and Scarlet Violet Base Set I didn't feel attached towards any new set until the release of Surging Sparks.

Now, I am fully immersed into the hobby thanks to Journey Together, my favorite modern set. This is why I chose to masterset Journey Together and Surging Sparks first.

Coincidentally, my top 5 favorite sets (and order of sets I want to master) are as follows:

  4. Scarlet & Violet Base Set
  5. Prismatic Evolutions
